Today Abby is joined by BIO Girls Executive Director, Missy Heilman.
Missy is the chief dreamer behind BIO Girls. It started in 2012 with a vision to create a positive, inclusive (non-competitive) program where girls could be themselves. Out of this dream, BIO Girls was born. In just eight years, Missy's leadership has helped BIO Girls grow from a single program impacting 32 girls to more than 50 locations serving thousands of girls each year. As Executive Director, Missy works closely with the Board of Directors to craft the vision of BIO Girls, serves as the primary mission evangelist, oversees program operations and curriculum development and loves using her marketing background to promote the program. Missy also enjoys speaking engagements where she can spread the passion for the BIO Girls program.
