About our guest:
Singer Songwriter, Jessica Vines’ distinctive vocals bop their way above the whimsical wind instruments, bubbly bass and relentless riffs in her self-penned debut albumMoving Too Fast. Sounding well beyond her years, Vines’ slows things down when it fits the mood and speeds things up at all the right times. Her latest album, Delicious, released in early 2021.
Jessica was encouraged to tap into her creative self as a kid. She grew up listening to many styles of music such as rock, funk and jazz. After earning her degree in Jazz studies at Minnesota State University Moorhead. When she started writing, she wanted the polished sound to be a combination of getting people to dance and taking them to a headspace where they can escape. Jessica sounds like an old soul, and that’s because she has such a strong appreciation for early jazz, which she modernized to create her own unique sound.
Tune into our conversation where Jessica shares how she conquered her fears and the naysayers and continued pursing her passion of making music. This Fargo sweetheart is now off to California to take the next step in her career.
