Welcome to the StartupBREW Fargo Podcast!
This week we were joined by Connor McGovern with Able Games; and Monique and Jocelyne Lamoureux with their new book, Dare to Make History.
Fargo ABLE Games is the brainchild of Connor McGovern, Fargo native and NFL center for the New York Jets, and Kim Pladson, Executive Director of TNT Kids ’Fitness & Gymnastics. The Fargo Able Games is the region's first all-inclusive test of functional fitness. This event celebrates the abilities of all its competitors from the highly skilled athlete to the athlete with special needs. Competitors of all divisions compete on the floor at the same time in a way to celebrate inclusiveness.
Monique and Jocelyne are from Grand Forks, ND. They are 3X Olympians, Olympic Gold medalists, and 6X world Champions. They recently just retired from the USA women's national hockey team after 15 years and released an Amazon Best Seller book, Dare to Make History: Chasing a dream and Fighting for Equity. They are using their platform to make a difference through their foundation to make and help underprivileged kids in ND.
